Five years later, in 1931, the Horseshoe Inn was the first of the park\u2019s lodges to disappear in the effort to bring the park back to its natural state.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kayturnbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/four-horsemen-fb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-thumbnail wp-image-329 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kayturnbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/four-horsemen-fb-150x200.jpg\" alt=\"four-horsemen-fb\" width=\"150\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nEleanor Parker wrote home almost every day, and her mother carefully transcribed her daughter\u2019s letters into a school composition book that was passed down through her family and recently discovered.
