Watch the video of the online Snowshoe and Ski Touring Clinic that Alan Apt and I presented on Tuesday, November 29, for the Colorado Mountain Club. We talked about snowshoeing and ski touring basics, including how to choose equipment and basic tips and techniques. And we showed beautiful photos of the more than 80 trails from our books, Ski Touring Routes: Colorado’s Front Range and Snowshoe Routes: Colorado’s Front Range. The trails range from 14er summits to easy family strolls, in some of the most scenic locations near the Front Range, including Rocky Mountain National Park. We also covered avalanche awareness basics.
